Rwanda Experience 2026: A Transformative Journey for Educators

Visit Rwanda, Trip For Educators, Go to Africa

The Traveling Black Women Network and The PrOOF Project, Inc. Unite to Create a Transformative Global Learning Opportunity for Educators

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

ATLANTA, GA – August 21, 2025

The Traveling Black Women Network (TBW), in partnership with The PrOOF Project, Inc.—a leading education consulting company—announces the upcoming Rwanda Experience for Educators. This trip is a chance to explore Rwanda during a transformative 8-day program designed for teachers, administrators, and youth development professionals. Travel will take place March 14–21, 2026, with only eight select educators traveling to Rwanda for a one-of-a-kind cultural immersion.

“This experience is about more than travel—it’s about expanding the lens through which educators see the world,” said Dr. Nadine C. Duncan, founder of the Traveling Black Women Network.

Rwanda Group Trip

“When educators are exposed to new cultures and global histories, they bring back richer lessons, empathy, and inspiration to their classrooms and communities.”

The program, curated in collaboration with The PrOOF Project, Inc., will combine professional learning with cultural exchange. Participants will engage with local Rwandan educators, visit historical sites, and explore how global perspectives can shape inclusive and impactful educational practices.

Why It Matters:

  • Black educators are often underrepresented in global education initiatives.
  • Exposure to international travel broadens perspectives, challenges biases, and strengthens leadership.
  • Engaging in firsthand narratives of Rwanda’s history offers a unique backdrop for deep learning and professional development.

Educators interested in joining initiative can apply here.
